Pixel phones are lagging in performance due to their chip technology, and despite improvements with the new Tensor chips, they haven’t reached the top tier of smartphones. Google plans to address these issues in the Tensor G6 for the upcoming Pixel 11 series, which will also enhance battery life. However, this raises concerns that the forthcoming Pixel 10 series using the Tensor G5 may still face similar problems. Additionally, the cost-effective manufacturing approach involving TSMC’s N3P process could lead to missing features, such as ray-tracing in the GPU of the Pixel 11, although the CPU remains unaffected. Overall, despite some positive steps, Pixel phones are still not meeting performance expectations.
