Vivo is addressing a camera glare issue reported by users in October due to the design of the lens. The company’s VP, Huang Tao, noted that while off-screen glare is common in optical photography, it typically has minimal impact on normal usage. Following reports of the issue, Vivo released a global software update in December with a glare reduction feature. To further assist users still experiencing problems, Vivo is now offering free anti-glare cases to affected users in China, who can request them by contacting customer service. The cases come in blue, pink, and gray, but it remains unclear if this offer will extend to users in global markets.
