Xiaomi has introduced the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra at MWC, marking their global launch. In addition to the phones, the company showcased a prototype of a detachable magnetic lens module called the “Modular Optical System,” which enhances the imaging capabilities of the Xiaomi 15 series. This module features a larger M43 sensor, an f1.4 aperture, and a 35mm fixed-focus lens for improved detail and low-light performance. While still in prototype, there are indications that it may be mass-produced in the future. Currently, Xiaomi offers a more limited photography kit for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, which does not match the power of the new lens module.
